Quote from the last supporters club post "As last time we may cater for walk ins, space permitting, but no food will be available. Thanks for your support."
Unless you ordered food before the cut off date there wont be any available - but I assume walk ins still applies ?

I'm looking forward to another superb evening with excellent food [Vegetarian option available] and the amazingly superb quizmaster Gentleman Graham Dunn. Bar open of course and now with a good selection of non-alchoholic lager, cider etc and hot beverages. The first one was a great success so suggest you buy a ticket soon If you can't form a team of 6 then you can be allocated into one if you like This is the direct link to order online [you will be sent an email after to ask if you want the meat or the vegetarian curry] wimbornetownfcsupportersclub.co.uk/collections/all

One of the members of this Forum [ who wishes to remain anonymous] has donated £100 to the supporters club to help with the running of the Quiz and Curry night. n.b. this was the £100 they had been hoping to sponsor a player with - but with no response from the Club. Have you bought your ticket yet. A great night out if the first one is anything to go by. Get your tickets here wimbornetownfcsupportersclub.co.uk/collections/all

Good luck with the forthcoming Quiz Night, everyone. I won't be there as it's a bit of a trek from Cambridgeshire but here's a question to whet your appetite for the 2nd of February:
30 years ago today (18th January 1992), Wimborne Town played in front of 626 fans at Cuthbury. Who were the opposition, what was the score & who missed a penalty for the Magpies?

Quite right, Yogi, except it was Shane Turner that missed the extra-time penalty (sorry, Shane). All's well that ends well, though, as we beat them in the replay.

Re: a hostile environment, I think it was there that our keeper Kevin Leonard, when taking a goal kick, had his shirt pulled from behind by a Hastings person as Kevin was about to take his run-up. He turned round and gave the guy a slap.

BTW Tim's daughter (Fern) is a very successful sports journalist / presenter with her own shows on radio and television.

An email has been sent out by the Supporters club as follows:-
We just wanted to send an email out as many of you have already heard about possible road closures on the week of our quiz and made enquiries as to whether we will be affected. We have spoken to the council and highways Department who have assured us that the road access to and from the Football Club will remain open on that evening of the 2nd February to ensure no disruption to the event, so be assured much as we would like you all to stay as long as possible you will be able to leave the venue when the quiz finishes! Please, if you could advise all team members that this is the case we would be very grateful.
Kind Regards
Dawn Haywood Wimborne Town Supporters Club Secretary

Quite right, Yogi, it was the late Tim Balch who was in goal for us that cold night. In those days, teams at Step 4 could choose whether to enter the Vase or the Trophy. Hastings won the Southern League Southern Division that season, finishing 13 points ahead of Weymouth which goes to prove what a magnificent achievement it was for the Magpies to win the Vase.

Hi all
Could we let everyone know that you have until the evening of this coming Monday 24th January to book Curry & Quiz tickets. Once this date has passed it will be too late to order food. As last time we may cater for walk ins, space permitting, but no food will be available. Thanks for your support.
Best regards Steve Rimmington WTSC
