It was 2-2 at half time with Lewis Beale scoring both goals against his old club.
There were wholesale changes at half time by both sides. One worrying aspect was Matty Burrows going off after what looked like concussion when fouled, after just a few minutes of coming on at half time.
The attendance was 648 [ or was it 684 ?]

684 crowd I think Matty Burrows looked pretty upset when he left the pitch. Could have been knee. Don't what the knobheads were kicked out at half time for. They were playing football across the main road apparently in the 2nd half as my other half had to stop as they were not bothered about getting run over. I see they also drew some genitals on the pavement. I expect they were poole town fans by the sound of it.

Grahams Match Report
Wimborne Town 2 Eastleigh 4 13 July 2024 - Pre-season friendly
Football came home to the newly-named Wyatt Homes Stadium, and a near-700 crowd defied the summer rain to watch. For the Southern Premier Magpies it was a second game in their preparations for the season ahead, for the National League Spitfires it was their first.
In a half full of attacking intent, Wimborne took the lead on five minutes. Jez Bedford's cross from the left came through to Lewis Beale who scored with a stooping header at the far post. Ross Flitney made a brave save at the feet of an Eastleigh attacker as he burst through one-on-one, but there was little the big stopper could do to prevent an equaliser on fourteen minutes. A triallist raced clear down the right wing, and his low cross was slammed into the net at the far post by Shade. Just after the half-hour mark, the Spitfires repeated the manoeuvre - this time it was Taylor at the far post to score.
As the game flowed from end to end, Billy Walker caught your reporter's eye when, under pressure, he flicked the ball in the air, instantly controlled it, turned, and passed to a colleague - class!
On thirty-seven minutes, Sam Jackson spotted Beale's run across and behind the visitors' defence and found him with an inch-perfect lofted pass. Again instant control, then round the keeper to score.
Chances came and went at both ends as a cracking half of football came to an end with the scores level.
Tim Sills made four changes at half-time, while Eastleigh brought on a new team - a team with very fast forwards. And when Dotse raced clear three minutes into the second period, Flitney brought him down before Maguire fired home a perfect penalty.
Matty Burrows was then injured in a wincing collision, and was slowly helped from the pitch. Fltney made a brilliant reaction save to tip over a close-range flick, but was beaten again on sixty-six minutes by Brindley. Connor Cocklin's header from Josh Carmichael's free-kick was well saved, and Cam Munn's trickery in the box found space for a shot which disturbed the watching pigeons.
It was a good work out for both teams, which provided an entertaining game for spectators. Drew Eccott-Young made a number of charging runs down the wing to complement his defensive duties, Harvey Wright looked a commanding central defender who always made time on the ball, and Will Fletcher was a willing target man, gave the Eastleigh defenders a good work-out, and wasn't shy of shooting when the opportunity arose. The only disappointment was to see Matty Burrows being helped off - let's hope he recovers quickly.
Of course the football is the main event, but how good to meet up with so many familiar and friendly faces - now that's what Saturday afternoons are for!
Wimborne: Flitney, Eccott-Young, Walker, Wright, Jackson, Neale, Bedford, Morgan, Beale, Munn, Fletcher. 2nd-half subs: Burrows, Carmichael, Cocklin, Rodwell, Scorey, and two triallists
