Well don’t to the team today sounds like they were excellent.

Wow that was a performance! Everyone battled hard and again put in an absolute shift. I thought Connell and Regan worked well up the left and Curtis did really well on the right. Lewis was non stop up front and chased everything. Ryan Hall also pulled out some amazing saves between the sticks keeping us in the game. At times we were under the cosh but held firm. This time however it was not all defending and we made chances and opportunities which was pleasing. At 1-1 we still pushed forward and once Lewis took the lead and Weston pushed forward we held strong with decent possession frustrating the home team. One of the questions at the Fans Forum was whether the form on the pitch was affecting the teams morale. They looked as one today and I’m sure the coach drive back was a happy one. Big game Tuesday with the potential to play some of the new additions. As this post started don’t write this team off yet. Looking forward to seeing Graham's match report! Hopefully it somewhat agrees with my recollection!

Mr.Dorsethammer gave a good assessment. This was a stirring team performance. You could go through the eleven who started plus Jake Carswell and talk very positively about their contributions throughout the game. I'll just highlight the back 5 who were terrific: keeper Ryan pulled off some great saves; Strugs is Mr.Consistent; Chuggy always gives 100%, and his shoulder-to-shoulder barge with muscular Mccootie on 44 minutes is worth seeing; Mark Jamison had his best game since re-joining us; and Connal gave his usual 'man-of-the-match' contender performance - he was the brunt of an awful sounding tackle in the first minutes, but shrugged it off and never stopped running. A word also for Jake Carswell. He came on 10 minutes into the second half, rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in - he didn't look out of place against such experienced opponents. But, with the current injury list, Stokoe's squad is threadbare. We need the new signings up and running asap.

What a brilliant result! It sounds like it was a fantastic all round performance too. I can't travel to away games or most midweek games. Does Radio Wimborne have any plans to cover away games? Dorchester on Tuesday for example. Do we have expected return dates for the injured players?

That's a reasonable question about return dates for injured players, but usually managers are reluctant to say much about them in public. The club's twitter feed says that Dan Jones has broken his elbow so I assume that will take a few weeks to heal. Stokesy might have something in his programme notes for Saturday. I'll see if it's appropriate to ask him on Tuesday in the post-match chat.
